A big clash growing into a future derby was presented to us in the semi final of the Lagos FA Cup as we defeated Sporting Lagos 2-1 to book our spot as one of two representatives for Lagos State at the 2025 President Federation Cup.

LINE UP: Aina Oluwadamilare; Waliu Ojetoye, Harrison Uzondu, Chibuike Oheagbulam, Marvelous Freedom; Folarin Temitope, Moses Shodeinde, Tosin Oyedokun; Shola Adelani, Toyeeb Ajeyigbe & Chineme Chinonso

Bench: James; Adewale, Leonard, Gidado, Kelechi, Ubani, Uzochukwu, Alade, Cole

It was expected to be a difficult meeting and it was as the lads struggled to settle due to fatigue gradually setting in after the tough schedule. Sporting Lagos also settled in well, piling up pressure but were unable to get through our defense as the first half ended goalless.

The second half was more lively and a six minute ruffle produced three goals. Harrison Austin put us in the lead with a fine finish off a pass from Shola but the response was immediate from Sporting Lagos as the drew level straightaway through Usman Abdullahi.

We however had another response to dish out four minutes later as Waliu provided the perfect cross for Cole Ayomide to head in and put us back in front.

The rest of the end to end action saw chances but not goals as we picked one of the two spots available for the President Federation Cup and a chance to defend our title in a repeat of the 2024 Lagos FA Cup final.
