Ikorodu City FC is delighted to announce that our talented defender Marvelous Freedom has received a call-up to the Nigeria U-20 national team ahead of the upcoming WAFU B U-20 Championship.
The young defender who was a key part of our squad during our debut NPFL Season, impressing with his intelligent defending, composure and consistent performances, has been rewarded with an invitation to the Flying Eagles team for the regional tournament.
Marvelous had eighteen starts (18) of twenty-four (24) appearance in the NPFL last season, his debut season in the top flight.
The competition will serve as a tune-up tournament for the Flying Eagles ahead of the FIFA U20 World Cup finals in Chile this year.
