October began on a solid note as we picked up a point away to Bayelsa United on Matchday 7, a result that keeps our away record to just one loss this season.
Now we return home. Tomorrow, Sunday, we kick off a run of three straight games at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, starting with Bendel Insurance. After a few close draws here, the focus is clear, turning those fair performances into wins, and to do it in front of you, our supporters, at the arena.
Facing Bendel Insurance
The first five games of last season, our debut campaign in the top flight, were chaotic as results refused to come our way. Then came Matchday 6 against Bendel Insurance, and everything changed. We won 3–0 that day, a result that sparked a huge turnaround. In the nine matches that followed, we lost only once, to Enyimba.
Although the reverse fixture in Benin ended in a 2–1 defeat, that is now in the past. The focus is on tomorrow, and the boys have worked hard all week to make sure a win is what we get.
