Matchday 17 saw us drop points at home to Katsina United, a team we took all six against last season and that didn’t go down well with the fans. I felt bad as well but then, such is the game; win some, draw some and yea, you know the rest.
We take another step closer to midseason and matchday 18 has us traveling to Enugu, one of our favorite grounds, to take on Rangers International, former champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Facing Rangers
On the head-to-head record, they are well ahead. We lost to them in both games last season. A 1-0 lost at the Arena and a 2-0 loss in Enugu. It’s not a sight to remember, they were one of the very few teams to do the double over us or get even 4 points against us.
This time around, as we visit them again, the aim is to create something even better than last time, with the win firmly in focus and a clear hunger to keep the run of positive results going.
Team News
After a cameo appearance against Katsina, Kelechi Onwe gets certified to get on the road for this one. Arumala Joseph will be absent due to a knock. Tomisin Adebayo is nursing an injury to his ankle picked up in training last week.
