It’s that time of the season where every second, every minute, every phase of play counts. The final stretch of games, where if care is not taken, a good season can quickly go bad, and sometimes a bad one can still be turned around.
There are eight games to go until the season ends for us, four away and four at home.
On that note, the first is an away trip to Kun Khalifat this Sunday in Owerri, for Matchday 31 of the Premier League.
Facing Kun Khalifat
Our first meeting with Kun Khalifat on November 2, 2025 ended in a 2-0 win for us.
Chidera Oparocha opened the scoring in the 29th minute, arriving at the back post to turn in a Joseph Arumala corner.
Dagogo Ibifubara then sealed the win with his first top-flight goal. And it wasn’t just a goal, it was something special, a real wonder strike.
Kun Khalifat currently sit rock bottom on the log, and games against sides fighting to avoid relegation can be tricky. This one will be no different, it will be a tough game.
We will have to show real mettle and a bit more doggedness to get something from it. If anything, that is what we have come to thrive on, fighting hard and finding a way to get results.
