History of club

Ikorodu City FC is an indigenous football club based in Lagos State. The club was incorporated in 2022 in furtherance of sports, football in particular, through the training and development of indigent youths with the aim of taking them off the streets and making them responsible citizens by engaging them in football, a sport that is exceptionally loved.

The segment of the society most prone to engaging in criminal activities is the youth. Hence, their gainful engagement is critical to the stability of the society and a stable society is essential to the development of business.

Ikorodu City provides through young lads, who otherwise will be idle and prone to engaging in criminal activities, are sheltered and trained in football skills. Their quality of life is improved and at the same time they are adding value to the community in general and the country at large by contributing to sports development.

Since the inception of the club in 2022, we have been to take over 50 energetic boys-youths off the street who are now positively contributing to the society.

The goal of the club is to help take out talents from the street, give them a hope and a future so as to keep them from vices that ruin them and the society and to showcase Nigeria and Africa’s talent to the world through partnerships and player export.
