In what has been a very busy summer for Ikorodu City Football Club, the club has announced that it has completed its first summer signing as Rivio Ayemwenre joins the side.
Rivio was unveiled as a player of Ikorodu City on Tuesday, 13th August 2024 after successful agreement with the player and agent.
Rivio who plays as a central midfielder was part of the triumphant Sporting Lagos side who gained promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in 2022/2023 from the Nigeria National League (NNL) and went on to score the sides’ first ever topflight goal in the NPFL on matchday one at home to Gombe United.
The midfielder however picked up an injury on just the second matchday of the season that kept him out of the squad for a long time and he struggled to settle in on his return which saw the club let him go at mid-season.
Rivio however has worked hard with Ijebu United to return to top form which sees his join Ikorodu City for the coming NPFL season.
