The OgaBoys take on FC ONE Rocket for our first home game of the season in our second league game of the season for Matchday three of the Nigeria National League (NNL) 23/24 season.
After falling to a 1-0 opening day defeat to Giant Brillars in Enugu, Ikorodu City were not in action over the last weekend on MD2 but now play a home game this weekend against a first time opponent in our two years NNL history.
MATCH FACTS
This is the first ever meeting between Ikorodu City and FC ONE Rocket. However, they are the second Uyo based club that we would be facing in the NNL with the Oga Boys never conceding against an opponent from Uyo at home in Lagos.
The last Uyo club that visited us in the NNL were Ibom Youths and the Oga Boys won by three goals to nil. Tosin Oyedokun opened the scoring before Paul Ogunkoya, (now with Stabæk FC in Norway) and Salami Farouk completed the scoring.
KEY PLAYERS
Tosin Oyedokun will surely be one to watch yet again. He opened the scoring the last time we faced an Uyo based club in the NNL at home, Ibom Youths.
New signing Ndukwe FearGod was a menace in our opening league game against Giant Brillars in Enugu, causing the defenders so much problem and making the goalkeeper work all game. He will hope to be in top shape at the MJ Arena.
Midfield turntable Toyeeb Gidado will be looking to command and dictate play in transitions for Ikorodu City from the midfield and hope to link up well with the attack line whilst arriving late in the box to provide a finish himself.

– The game will be live at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena. Entry is free but interested supporters must book their e-tickets here on the website and present it for physical pickup at the stadium.
– The game will also be streamed LIVE on Ikorodu City’s YouTube page as always. Every game of the season will be LIVE.
