Tradesafe Sport FC were held to a goalless draw at home by neighbors Ikorodu City FC in the match day 5 fixture of the ongoing Nigeria National League (NNL24) season.
LINE UP: GK: Godwin Victor, Ojetoye Waliu(C), Habeeb Musa, Idoko Daniel, Harrison Austin; Onwe Kelechi, Salau Yusuf, Toyeeb Gidado; Abikoye Uthman, Salami Farouk & Paul Aderibigbe.
In a keenly contested fixture, the away side Ikorodu City FC began the game on a fine note, dominating play as they dictated the rhythm of play for about 15mins, threatening the defence line of the home team as they forced the goalkeeper to make crucial saves to keep the game even.
Later on the host grew into the game as they threatened the midfield of Ikorodu City but failed to cause any damage on the balance of play as the game remained a stalemate into the break.
The second half began with the Oga boys still dictating play as they threatened from the flanks through Farouk who had a plethora of chances begging to be converted.
Oga boys lacked the efficiency and power required to build on there last game which saw them pummel Gateway United by four unreplied goals away from home giving advantage to Crown FC who sits comfortable on the log
Ikorodu City will now prepare for the next game of the ongoing season when they play host former Nigeria Premier Football League side Warri Wolves in the new year, 6th January, 2024 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena with the aim of securing all three points.
