When we kicked off this maiden season in the topflight, the target was survival. Stay up. That was it. Four games to go, and nothing has changed.

It hasn’t always been straightforward, but recent form tells its own story with two wins, two draws from our last four matches. Last weekend, we were on the road, digging deep in Maiduguri to earn a point against El-Kanemi Warriors. It wasn’t pretty, but it mattered.

Now it’s another trip. Another tough one. We head to the Godswill Akpabio Stadium to face Akwa United. Same mindset is to stay switched on, stay together, and go after the points like our lives depend on it.

The First Leg in Lagos

We ripped them apart last time. A 4–1 win at the Arena, four different scorers. Tosin Oyedokun, Emmanuel Solomon, Abdulmalik Olatunji, Ayomide Cole. A performance that we bossed from the first whistle to the last.

Now it’s their turn to host. No doubt they’ll be thinking about payback. But if this season has shown anything, it’s that we don’t scare easily. We’ll be ready.

Team News

In team news, Freedom Marvelous, Ganiyu Adio, and Toyeeb Ajeyigbe still remain unavailable through injury and will sit this one out.
