In search of our first point on the road for the second stanza of the league, the boys took a trip to Lafia to face Nasarawa United in an encounter that resulted in a share of the spoils.

The home side started on the front foot under the harsh hot weather in Lafia. Anas Yusuf led the attacking line of Nasarawa United with a few chances missed.
The lads eventually began to click and ask a few questions with chances from Dimeji and Toyeeb just missing goal by a little as we took the game level into the break.
The second half brought more life to the game with changes from both sides. Shola and Ayo Cole came in. After a while, Alade Solomon and Gideon Manasseh as we went in search of a winner.
Nasarawa United piled the pressure with a couple of chances from Qamar Adegoke and Utake Emmanuel not getting past goalkeeper Aina Oluwadamilare.
Shola Adelani was a pest in the defense of Nasarawa United as he drove through them with every given chance. His flash effort was saved by Detan Ogundare. The final minutes saw chances for us to steal the game. Alade Solomon had his point blank effort saved before Olatunji Abdulmalik saw both of his chances off a quick break saved by the keeper as we took the game into the full time whistle with a point on the road.

It’s a rush of fixtures for the lads as we take on FC Bethel in the Lagos FA Cup round of 16 on Monday, two days time, after which in another two days, it’s back to league action in a midweek clash against Plateau United.
