We take a trip to Bayelsa for a match day 16 clash of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League season against Bayelsa United and interim head coach Nurudeen Aweroro sat with the club’s media to discuss the expectations ahead of the game.

“Our expectation is to get maximum 3 points. The players and I have all agreed that we do not want to lose any match so we want to have our best game and hope injuries don’t come out,” Nurudeen said.

The club is currently on a six game unbeaten run, last losing to Enyimba 2-1 in Aba back in October. We have won 5 and drawn once against Niger Tornadoes since then

“Yes, we’re in form now and we’re working hard not to have any distractions. Not losing in the last 6 games has built our confidence and our focus.”

“We see clearly that we can be better than this if we keep working hard and that’s why our target now is to continue to work hard and be better than what we’ve done in the last 6 matches,” he concluded.
