Ikorodu City Football Club suffered defeat on the road to a lone goal in Kwale to Warri Wolves on matchday sixteen of the Nigeria National League (NNL) 2024 season.

It was an even game through the first half as both teams struggled to play their football on the bumpy surface leading to little or no clear chances in the opening half of the game as it ended goalless in the first half.
More of the same ensued in the second half as coach Bright made changes in a bid to get the boys to keep the ball on the ground and take charge of the game. The changes seemed to work as we controlled the game with most of our efforts thwarted by good defending or the sound of the whistle. Sadly, the team got reduced to ten men as Kelechi Onwe got sent off and would miss the next game against Tradesafe FC.
The breakthrough eventually came for the hosts during ten minutes additional time as signaled by the reserve referee. On the final minute of added time, the home side got a penalty which was dispatched to win the game.
