Six games in the month of March and a rush of fixtures for Ikorodu City, beginning with the Lagos State FA Cup and then running into the start of the 2022/2023 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

After so many preseason games, we began the month of March competitively with an FA Cup third round (R32) fixture against North York FC, picking up a convincing 5-1 win with goals from Ezeja Kenechukwu, Olubode Hassan, Oyedokun Tosin and a brace from Ayomide Cole.

Next was a 3-0 fourth round (R16) win over Divine Praise FC as we saw another brace, this time from Oyedokun Tosin and then a goal from Adebayo Oyedele.

The fifth round has us knock out the defending champions Dannaz FC in a convincing 3-0 scoreline as Ezeja Kenechukwu got his second goal of the competition, same as Hassan and then Alex Ekwunife opened his goal scoring account for the club.

The sixth round (semi final) was a hard fought victory as the game ended goalless in regulation time and needed penalties. Victor Ogbonna saved his last two spot kick to hand us a 4-3 win over Box 2 Box, sending us to the Nationals, the Federation Cup and a date with Smart City Feeders in the State finals.

Then attention switched straight into the league as we hosted FC Ebedei of Sagamu in our first game and sealing a 3-1 win. Olubode Hassan got our first goal of the game and first of the NNL23 season before captain Oyedokun Tosin scored a brace either half to seal victory.

Our second game and last for the month saw us travel to Ikenne to face Abeokuta Stormers as the team lost 2-0 and sits third of the five team group table after two games.

Attention now shifts to April with two league games against Madiba FC and Ekiti United left to complete the first half of the abridged season.
